It's perhaps unsurprising, considering we only got four episodes, but there is a dearth of LiA fanfic out there, and I was hoping we could start to rectify that. I figure a exchange style fic-a-thon is a little ambitious (and more work than I can commit to). But what about a big prompt fic-fest. Over the course of a few days everyone would be able to post whatever prompts they fancy (any pairings, genre, crossover, etc.) then, writers could chose whatever prompts catch their fancy, and we'd have a set amount of time ( a few weeks to a month) to complete the stories and post them to the site. Not high-pressure, but hopefully lots of inspiration. Would anyone be interested? You wouldn't have to promise to write a story in order to post a prompt.

tags & other mod crap

I have never maintained or modded a community with plus 100 members, but neither do I want to be too intrusive. And at this point, I don't find it necessary to find a co-mod as this place seems to manage itself well. Just some official rules now that we're a sizable amount of people.

crossover: "The function of doors"

Title: The Function Of Doors

Crossover: Lost In Austen / Primeval
Author: Keenir

Summary: the real reason why an Egyptologist might find herself on the Primeval team.

Author’s note: I got as far as the 3rd paragraph, and I found myself wondering “would Lizzie grant Michael the use of the familiar form of her name?” (and I also wondered why Michael and Rhi didn’t seem surprised to see someone trying to open the door that was inside the bathroom)

Note: since I can never hear the proper pronounciation of Michael’s and Amanda’s friend’s name, I’m calling her Rhi.

WARNING: for all Americans, what herein is called a “water closet,” we call “a restroom” and a “loo” and a “bathroom.”
